How we work together.

Every engagement starts with a top-down assessment, so I understand your business and technology before I advise on it. What happens after that is up to you.

Start Here

Diagnostic.

A structured, collaborative review of your systems and processes. The good, the bad and the ugly. It usually costs £5,000 (plus VAT) and takes roughly a week of both of our time. Larger or more complex businesses may need longer, and cost more; we'll agree that upfront, before anything starts. It's required before anything ongoing: I won't advise on a business I don't understand.

01

Get in touch

Tell me what's going on. We'll have a short scoping call to check we're a genuine fit, confirm the assessment's scope, and agree timing and cost if your business needs more than the standard week.

02

The review

I spend time in your systems and with your people. That means access (supervised or not, whatever you're comfortable with) and time from whoever actually knows how things work day to day, not just what's written down. This happens remotely. If being on-site is genuinely needed, expenses are on you. The more open you are, the more useful the report.

03

The report

A clear, written summary of what's going on and what needs to be done, plus everything you need to decide what happens next. Plain English where possible, and if I can turn it into a diagram, I probably will.

04

Talk it through (optional)

If it's useful, we can get on a call and walk through the report together; what it means, and what I'd do next if it were my business. Entirely up to you.

Plans

Pick your level of commitment.

Pay as you go for occasional work, or commit monthly, it's totally up to you. Monthly Plans are a pre-purchase of credit to be used against the rate card for one calendar month. Credit expires at the end of the month. Change packages each month or auto-renew your favourite, whatever you need.

Plans aren't just cheaper. They mean I can schedule your work in ahead of time, so when something comes up, you're not waiting behind everyone on pay-as-you-go. Plans get priority.

P

Pay as you go

Standard rates

No commitment. Standard rate card price per item, invoiced when the work is delivered.

S

Small

£2,000 / month

Best for hands-off work. Judgement, not delivery. A few unblock sessions for second opinions, some mentoring and the odd architecture call.

  • One predictable invoice
  • Better rates
  • Priority scheduling
M

Medium

£4,000 / month

Best for closer involvement, heavy advisory months or a regular presence in the team. Frequent unblock sessions, architecture calls or hiring support.

  • One predictable invoice
  • Better rates
  • Priority scheduling
L

Large

Limited availability

£8,000 / month

Best for hands-on leadership or a deep-dive into the biggest tasks. Regular direct leadership cadence, or a vast architecture design project.

  • One predictable invoice
  • Better rates
  • Priority scheduling

Need something different? Get in touch and we'll agree a plan that fits.

Rate Card

Parcels of work, not time.

I work from a fixed rate card which covers defined units of work, not open-ended time. Each item includes one round of revision and a standard turnaround, as a rule. Anything bigger or more complex gets quoted separately before work begins.

I'm building a web portal to make engagement a seamless experience. In time, you'll be able to request a task or a quote, see your plan balance and swap plans, manage requestors and more, all in one place. I'll announce when it's live.

Not sure what to do next?

That's exactly what the diagnostic is for.
